Lodge of Instruction

The Old England Lodge of Instruction No 1790 meets at the Croydon Masonic Center every Thursday at 8pm, between the first Thursday in September to the last Thursday in March.

The Lodge of Instruction was formed on 7th November 1912 and first met at the Café Royal in South Croydon. It then moved to the Streatham Constitutional Club sometime just after the war where it remained until 2005 before moving again back to Croydon to the Masonic Centre in Oakfield Road.

The Preceptor, W.Bro Tim Pretty and the Lodge of Instruction Secretary, W.Bro Martin Fowler will be pleased to welcome new and existing members of Old England to our meetings. Our aim is to practice and perfect the Masonic Ritual and to foster a team spirit amongst the Members. The Lodge of Instruction is the heart of every Lodge, where new Brethren can learn what Masonry is about and get to know other members of the Lodge. In the Old England Lodge it is also the catalyst for our social side as many of our events are sponsored and organised by members of the Lodge of Instruction.

The News and Events pages on this site will feature upcoming events and give a report on past events.
